Updates
The Spring-Summer 2009 Update and the Autumn-Winter 2009 Update to the Himalayan Database contain the climbing data for the 2009 Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter seasons as well as additions and corrections for the 1905-2008 data in the Himalayan Database. These updates should be applied in sequence only after the previous 2004 through 2008 updates are first applied in sequential order.
The Combined 2004-2009 Update to the Himalayan Database contains the climbing data for the 2004 through 2009 seasons as well as additions and corrections for the 1905-2003 data in the Himalayan Database. This update is for those who have not applied any previous updates and contains all the changes in the other updates. It should be applied only to the original Himalayan Database, not to a previously updated Himalayan Database.
All updates are free, but are not readable as stand-alone documents without an existing database. You will need to have a copy of the Himalayan Database installed on your computer to apply and view the contents.
In addition, a new version of the Himal program is available for both the Windows and Macintosh platforms. The new version includes enhancements to the reports and analysis commands as well as some minor bug fixes.
