Updates

The 2004 Update to the Himalayan Database contains the climbing data for the 2004 season as well as additions and corrections for the 1905-2003 data in the Himalayan Database.

The Spring 2005 and Autumn-Winter 2005 Updates to the Himalayan Database contain the climbing data for the 2005 Spring, Autumn, and Winter seasons as well as additions and corrections for the 1905-2004 data in the Himalayan Database. These updates should be applied in sequence after the 2004 update is applied.

The Spring 2006 and Autumn-Winter 2006 Updates to the Himalayan Database contain the climbing data for the 2006 Spring, Autumn, and Winter seasons as well as additions and corrections for the 1905-2005 data in the Himalayan Database. These updates should be applied in sequence after the 2004 and 2005 updates are applied.

The Spring 2007 Update to the Himalayan Database contains the climbing data for the 2007 Spring and Summer seasons as well as additions and corrections for the 1905-2006 data in the Himalayan Database. This update should be applied in sequence after the 2004, 2005 and 2006 updates are applied.

The Combined 2004-2006 Update to the Himalayan Database contains the climbing data for the 2004, 2005 and 2006 seasons as well as additions and corrections for the 1905-2003 data in the Himalayan Database. This update is for those who have not applied any previous updates and contains all the changes in the other 2004, 2005 and 2006 updates. It should be applied only to the original Himalayan Database.

All updates are free, but are not readable as stand-alone documents without an existing database. You will need to have a copy of the Himalayan Database installed on your computer to apply and view the contents.

In addition, a new version of the Himal program is available for both the Windows and Macintosh platforms. The new version includes enhancements to the reports and analysis commands as well as some minor bug fixes.
